InstaCheck turns Instagram's official ZIP/JSON export into a clear view of followers, following, mutual connections, accounts that do not follow back, and changes between analyses. It requires no Instagram login or password and keeps processing, history, and snapshots on the user's device.
CASE STUDY
InstaCheck was created to solve a common question among Instagram users: understanding connections and finding non-followers without handing credentials to unofficial services. The official ZIP/JSON export has the data, but it is not built for fast comparison, creating a usability and privacy barrier.
ZIP and JSON files are read and processed entirely in the browser. Connection data and user files are never sent to external servers.
Each analysis can be saved locally as a snapshot. The application compares imports across time to highlight new followers and unfollows.
Uses Instagram's official data download workflow. Requires no login, password, or access tokens, eliminating account security risks.
The product was made available to real Instagram users for validation, turning a complex technical export into a simple, local analysis workflow.
