The problem

Respiro helps people understand what occupies their Windows storage and review what can be removed, with explanations in Portuguese and no programming tools required.

What it does

  • Analyze disks and folders progressively, with cancellation, categories and charts.
  • Find large files and possible duplicates, with optional SHA-256 content comparison.
  • Review restricted cleanup opportunities with explanations and a simulation.
  • Browse installed applications, compare analyses and track folder growth and free-space alerts.

The technical decision

Built with C#, .NET 10 and WPF, using Windows APIs and no external NuGet dependencies. Analysis is read-only; cleanup requires selection, a preview, confirmation and revalidation of eligible items. The cover shows a documented earlier interface; navigation may differ from the current candidate.

The result

Beta source code is in preparation. Advanced startup changes, application termination and MSI removal remain blocked pending disposable-VM validation. No executable or installer is offered at this stage.
